Well, I'm sure you've heard that suddenly they've stopped meddling with everyone's coin. I owe Sinbad for what he paid out for the theater, and I figured I'd just save myself the headache and call you directly.

Oh, right, I had heard Sin had done that. I'm sure he wouldn't want you to pay back the full amount, if anything, but if you do want to pay back some amount I'll worm it into his paperwork.

( Ja'far can't exactly explain it - it would take an age, and he's not very close to Syeira. He's quiet for a moment longer before he answers, his voice hesitant. )

We had a falling apart of sorts. It's alright. It'll work itself out eventually.

Okay, I'm going just say that it's obviously not alright, just from your tone. If you ever need to vent, I've got two ears and plenty of free time. I know I'm not likely first on the list, but sometimes it's nice to talk to someone, who's not in the thick of a situation.
