[ Aspen feels a smile coming to his face, gentle and sincere, and in a way, it hurts - but it's a good sort of hurt, like stretching out an old muscle. He missed this. He missed Ja'far. ]

I love you. [ It comes out before he can stop himself, so he flusters - ] I'm sorry. I-I can't stop saying it.

( Ja'far laughs lightly, wishing he could hold him. )

( Ja'far's quiet for a moment, and then, when he speaks, he sounds emotional, touched and happy. )

( He's surprised for a moment, and then he smiles, fond. )

[ Aspen sighs contentedly. ]

[ A soft laugh - ]

... thank you for being there when I woke up.

Of course. I wanted to be there for you, like you were for me.

I'm sorry that I was so... upset, when you woke up. About you forgetting me.

I - I understand, now.

[advisors]

No, it's alright. I understand completely. I was upset that I forgot you to begin with, and it would naturally sting, knowing that someone you love didn't remember you, no matter if it was out of their control or not.

I forgot you for three years. Three years. When I woke up and everything came rushing back, I couldn't shake how much I missed you. You being there for me, even though it hurt, meant everything.

( He pauses for a moment. ) I talked with Sin. We've... we're back to normal, more or less. I feel awful for what I said to him when I woke up. It's hard not to be angry at him for what he did, but I can't be angry at him for something he hasn't even done yet. I love him. And I love you. No matter how temporary or permanent this place is, I wouldn't trade knowing you or being here with Sin for anything.

[terraria]

Ah - I'm glad you two were able to make up... I think the same. I wouldn't trade knowing the both of you for anything. I've learned so much from the both of you... from just loving both of you with all my heart.

Those seven months I didn't remember either of you were like torture. I wish I'd... [ His voice chokes up, but he tries to push past it - ] I wish I'd remembered either of you. Both of you. I felt so alone, it would've been a comfort. It was so overwhelming to see, to feel both of you again.
